Travis and Miranda’s Intimate Wedding in Sacramento

Travis and Miranda’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and unforgettable moments. They chose to borrow their uncle’s backyard in Sacramento as the perfect backdrop for a rustic and charming wedding, and it couldn’t have been more fitting. The day was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and even a fun surprise—an old Volkswagen Karmann Ghia that added an extra touch of nostalgia and character to the event. As their Sacramento wedding photographer, I had the privilege of following them on their journey from the stylish Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in downtown Sacramento to the cozy and intimate setting of their uncle’s backyard, where the real party began.

One of the most memorable moments of the day came when Travis surprised Miranda with a song he wrote just for her. As he sang, you could see the pure love and joy radiating from Miranda’s face. It was a moment of connection between them that was so heartfelt and genuine, and I was honored to capture such a personal and touching expression of their love.

When I first started my journey in wedding photography, I knew that small, intimate weddings like Travis and Miranda’s would always hold a special place in my heart. There’s something truly magical about these more personal celebrations—the way they’re filled with authentic emotions, close family connections, and unique moments that are sometimes overlooked in larger, more extravagant weddings. It’s these kinds of weddings where I can really connect with the couple and tell their story in a way that feels personal, real, and deeply meaningful.

Travis and Miranda’s day was a perfect reflection of who they are: fun, loving, and full of joy. Their backyard wedding, surrounded by their closest friends and family, was an absolute honor to document. Every detail, from the rustic charm of the venue to the intimate moments shared throughout the day, made this wedding one I’ll always cherish. Thank you, Travis and Miranda, for letting me be a part of such a beautiful and memorable day!
